Rendezvous at Amelia Court House

  • Amelia Court House (map)

Amelia County Historical Society at Amelia Court House: Society interpreters will continue the narrative of the increasingly pursued Southern columns that gathered in and around Amelia Court House in the thwarted expectation of receiving sorely needed rations on the Richmond and Danville Railroad.  Local war artifacts will be on display at the Jackson Memorial Library and Museum. Interpreters on the courthouse square will also point out the former locations of Lee’s tent, the railroad depot, and other sites of note for April 4-5, 1865.
